Regular Council Meeting
3/15/93
Page 2
S12ecial Council Meeting - March 5,1993 - Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a
motion to approve the minutes.
ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler,
Mr. Flynn, and Mrs. Leppla
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Minutes Approved
COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER:
Mayor Rinker said he hoped to have the names proposed for the Ordinance Review
Committee that he is setting up but has not been able talk to everyone. He thinks there
will be a special council meeting before the month is over for budget purposes, and that
everything should be in place for then.
Mayor Rinker said it is his pleasure to introduce Ptl. Richard Whitehead. Technically,
he has been sworn in, but he thought it would be good for everyone to be introduced to
our new officer.
Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to full-time patrolman Richard
Whitehead.
COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT CINCO:
Mrs. Cinco had no comments at this time.
DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:
Mr. Woloszynek reported (for Steve Hovancsek) the Village has been awarded Issue
Two monies from Ohio Public Works Commission for the construction of the
Highland/S.O.M. intersection rehabilitation. The Village Engineer and Gus Amendola
viewed the Village streets recently for concrete replacement, asphalt resealing, and
crack sealing. The preliminary cost estimate is $145,000.
Mr. Diemert said all reports have been provided in writing; he has nothing further.
Lt. Neyman said they received their new combination pumper/ladder truck. He
invited everyone to look at it. It will be a nice addition to the firefighting equipment. If
people see the ladder up, it will probably be for iraining (and not because of a fire.)
