Regular Council Meeting 4/19/93 Page Five Special Council Meeting - Apri112,1993 - Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to approve the minutes. ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler, . Mr. Flynn, and Mrs. Leppla IVAYS: None Motion Carried Minutes Approved COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RIIVKER Mayor dtinker said Chief Stevens brought to his attention a couple of weeks ago that Mr. Franic Strauss, his mail carrier, noticed mail was collecting at a senior residence. He contacted the police department who founci the elderly woman had fallen. She was saved by Mr. Strauss' attention and willingness to take the time to contact people to take care of her. Mayor Rinker presented Mr. Strauss with a Certificate of Appreciation. Mayor Rinker said there are a few new members to t11e Activities Committee which he would like to swear in at this time. He admfnistered oaths of office to: Shirley Flugan, Nona Stella, and Debbie Thomas. Mayor Rinker said a new Ordinance Review Committee was recently established. H administered oaths of office to the three citizens on the committee: Patsy Mills, Mar Kusner of Planning and Zoning, and Dorothy Buzek of the Architectural Review Boa Mayor Rinker said Gus Amendola, Building Commissioner/Service Director; and Joanne Cinco, Council ?'resident also serve on this committee. Mayor Rinker reported that the 1Vlother's Day Pancake Breakfast will be held May 9. Volunteers are needed. e k rd. Mayor Rinker said they have been talking with Coyote about the fireworks display. We are trying to improve the site location for the fireworks. The display will be held Saturday, july 3 or in case of rain, on Monday, July 5. Chief Mohr explained that because of safety concerns if they shoot here we will be limited to 4" diameter shells; if they shoot at C.E.I., they can use 12" shells. COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT CINCO: Mrs. Cinco had no comment.
