Special Council Meeting
6/7/93
Page Nine
Her next-door neighbor was approved to tie in his driveway drainage into the pipe.
The flooding problem that they experience in their basement did not exist before the tie-
in as they were assured by the previous owner. Now, in 1993 they are being told there
is a question about their tie-in. She has a question: how can you allow one person to tie
in and one person to not. Mrs. Sullivan said last summer Mr. Hovancsek, Mr.
Amendola, and Mr. Suglia were out and determined they should be taken off the storm
sewer at a cost of about $1,200. She said the north side of her property becomes an open
swale after about the first 60 feet coming back. That is a health hazard because of the
raw sewage. It is insect infested. The open swale is killing trees, shrubs and grass. She
would like to propose to Council that flexible ducting be laid to enclose the existing
ditch. They need to address the priority number one problem. The water that drains
through her north and south storm sewer ditches is not her water. In conclusion, Mrs.
Sullivan said she would like to be included as part of the proposed sewer project up for
approval by Council.
ADTOURNMENT
Mrs. Cinco said she would like to adjourn the meeting and discuss Mrs. Sullivan's
comments during Caucus.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
The meeting adjourned at 8:43 p.m.
? ?-
C??,?CIL PRESIDEr T, JOANNE CINCO
c
MA , BRUCE G.
