Regular Council Meeting
6/21/93
Page Sixteen
First Reading of Resolution No. 93-13, entitled; "A Resolution Dedicating the 1993
Emergency One Fire Truck and Ceremonial Bell in Memory of Former Fire Chief Allan
L. Hejcl." Infroduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 93-13.
513 Zorn Lane - Sullivan PropeM - Mr. Hovancsek said he viewed the area and
estimates the cost to be $14 per lineal foot. He believes there is a 10" sewer there now
and thinks it will take about 100' to get it behind the wooded area.
Discussion was held.
Mr. Hovancsek said he does not see a need to go beyond 100 feet.
Mr. Flynn asked if they are shooting for the Village to run an 8" pipe through the
trench--it would not be more than a day labor.
Mr. Hovancsel< said he walked the area last week and in some places the ditch is not 8"
deep.
Mr. Flynn said one of the greatest concerns is the mosquito infestation.
Mrs. Leppla said Mrs. Sullivan has had this problem since 1987.
Mrs. Cinco asl<ed the total cost of the pipe.
Mr. Hovancsek said it is $14 per foot; it depends on how far you run it. She asked if
this is something that needs to be "speced out" further.
Mr. Hovancsek said yes, if you want to determine the length. If Council wishes, he will
be glad to check further on this. He said if they had a cap of $21-2,200 that should be
sufficient.
Mr. Flynn said he would like to make a motion to approve $2,200 for that.
Mr. Busa reported there is an open grate in front of that house that needs attention.
Mr. Fixer, said due to the health, welfare, and safety of the residents at 513 Zorn Lane,
he would like to make a motion to approve an expenditure not to exceed $2,200 to
extend the pipe. Mr. Flynn seconded the motion.
