Regular Council Meeting <br />6/21/93 <br />Page Eight <br />DEPARTIVIENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Amendola said regarding the work they have done on Metro Park Drive near <br />S.O.M. Center Road in the replacement of the swale, all the equipment that is being <br />used there and the material being put in the swale has been paid for by the two <br />residents that live on the south side of that corner. Mr. Amendola said there is no <br />expenditure other than the labor that we normally would have to put in to replace the <br />swale. He said he has been asked by many motorists going by when they were going to <br />be working on sewers on their property; that is not the case. <br />Mr. Flynn aslced what the cost to the residents was. <br />Mr. Amendola said the two families will be spending approximately between $1,000 <br />and $1,100 (each.) <br />Mr. Hovancselc reported that the concrete reinoval and replacement program is <br />underway. <br />Lt. Porter said the department has started a fire hydrant painting program and as soon <br />as that is completed, they will start flushing hydrants. <br />Mr. Brett said he should have a draft of the 1994 tax budget for Council's review shortly. <br />He would like to schedule a tax budget hearing at the time of the Council Meeting in <br />Ju1y. <br />Chief Stevens last week they received a$1,500 check from the Sheriff's Law <br />Enforcement Trust Fund. The County distributed monies to communities for their <br />D.A.R.E. Programs. <br />STANDIIiTG COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said they granted preliminary approval of <br />a drawing for D.O. Summers Dry Cleaning; drawings must be resubmitted due to lack <br />of information. They also approved a sign for Dazzler's Beauty Shop (owned by Mr. <br />Randazzo) and placed that on a contingency that a variance be granted for the use of the <br />sign. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said they met and approved a lot split for sublot 11 in <br />Village Trails. <br />Ce? - Mr. Fixler asked when the sign would be ready.
