Regular Council Meeting <br />7/19/93 <br />Page Three <br />console. The one that was purchased in 1987 was more of a temporary situation. It is <br />starting to fail. The approximate cost for replacing it is $25,000. The maintenance for <br />this item is getting costly and they suggest this item is placed in next years' budget. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Flynn said the Finance Committee met this evening. <br />1) They recommend B.F.I. for a three-year package for rubbish collection <br />and recycling. (Ordinance No. 93-31) <br />2) They recommend first reading of Resolution No. 93-15 <br />3) They recommend first reading of Resolution No. 93-16 <br />4) Service Department Repair of Snow Blower -$3,400 - They recommend repair. <br />5) They recommend passing Ordinance No. 93-37. <br />6) Sale of Four Cars - they recommend the Village accept the offer from <br />Highland Hills by motion this evening <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there is no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mr. Busa said the restoration crew has taken off the month of July. <br />Work will resume August 7. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they met july 1st. The card dub was canceled because of <br />lack of interest. The track meet was canceled because of weather. The enrollment for <br />the summer programs is exceeding expectation and they are very thrilled with the <br />outdoor street hockey program. They are looking into insurance; they will need new <br />coverage as of December,1993. They are also getting things up to snuff for their <br />corporate responsibility in as much as they are incorporated. The next meeting is <br />September 2. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mrs. Cinco said they met July 13; that is probably two- <br />thirds of the agenda this evening. They have been working hard on a number of things. <br />The legislation will be placed on first reading this evening and will be out to other <br />committees to study. Hopefully, one item will be on the ballot this fall. Mrs. Cinco <br />commended the committee for the work they have put in and Mr. Diemert for getting <br />the legislation. <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Mr. Basile said they met July 12. They recommend Council grant a variance to Dazzlers <br />Hair Design of 21.5 for a front yard set back, and a 13 square foot variance for their <br />ground sign. The committee held a special meeting on July 15. They approved the final
