Regular Council Meeting . 8/16/93 Page Three Mayor Rinker said the Committee planned to have another meeting to debrief all of the events held this year. STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said the Board met and passed on a single- family dwelling, a deck and a room addition. Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said the Board met and granted a variance to permit a garage to face the street in an area where other garages face the street. Cemeterv - Mr. Fixler. said the sign will be put back up in the next few days. He hopes they will have the debris cleaned up by next week.Citizen's Advisorv - Mrs. Cinco said they did not meet. They will be meeting August 23. Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa said the Direcfor of the Commission on Aging sends the following report: The Senior Gentry is enjoying their 3rd picnic this evening. The flu shot program is set for October 18 in the Community Room. The fee is $5 per person. Pre-registration will be held September 27 from 1-3 p.m. and September 29 from 10 a.m.-12 noon. The Fall Foliage Trip is on October 6. The Craft Group enjoyed an outing to Aurora Farms. Mrs. Kalina will be away August 21-30. Mal Vargo and Edith Piunno will take charge of the Craft Group in her absence. Safety and Service - Mr. Fixler said they did not meet due to the storm. He has one item to bring up and will request to amend the agenda later on. Finance - Mr. Flynn said they met tonight. They recommend approval of the one item they had to consider--payment to the Walter H. Drane Company for updating the Codified Ordinances. Mr. Flynn said the Committee held further discussion with the Finance Director on other items. Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said he has no report. They will be meeting Saturday, September 11. Historical Societv - Mr. Busa said restoration work on the House has resumed. The Ice Cream Social will be held September 8, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the pavilion. There will be an Open House at the Bennett Van Curen house. There will also be a special exhibit which- will feature memorabilia in celebrat'ion of the 25th Anniversary of the Recreation Committee. They will also have their annual quilt raffle that night.
