Special Council Meeting <br />10/13/93 <br />Page 2 <br />Approval of Expenditure for Removal of Storm Debris <br />Mrs. Cinco said first on the list is a motion to approve an expenditure of $9,500. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to approve and expenditure of <br />$9,500 for removal of (storm) debris. <br />Mayor Rinker said this is to clear out the service site because leaf pick-up is starting. <br />This is ultimately the cheaper way to go. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />Mr. Hovancsek arrived at this time (9:07 a.m.) <br />Sealcoating (Cracksealing) <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the sealcoating project was awarded by the Village Council. The <br />cracksealing was the part he recommended they consider awarding at this time. The <br />contractor would like to get started as soon as he can. If Council could award it at this <br />time it would be good. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the $4,500 is for cracksealing at Village Hall, Wiley Park parking <br />lot, and the Service Garage area. The contractor is Pavement Sealers, Inc. <br />Mr. Fixler said last year they ran into a problem last year when the colder weather had <br />arrived-will they run into a similar problem in our parking lots because the colder <br />weather may have an effect. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the problem that occurred there appeared to be more moisture than <br />the cold weather. Mayor Rinker said because it is close to winter- are we doing it too soon? <br /> <br />Mr. Hovancsek said no. He would not do it in the middle or at the end of November, <br />but now is okay. They would like to do it soon (even this weekend.) <br />A brief discussion was held. <br />1 <br />There is a Beech Hill meeting Thursday at 8 p.m. -
