Regular Council Meeting <br />10/18/93 <br />Page Eleven <br />meeting he would like to sit down with Gus, Steve, and Mr. Merkel to look at it and see <br />where they can go. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Removal of Yard Waste - B.F.I. <br />Mrs. Cinco said we need a motion to approve the pick-up of yard waste (addition to <br />contract--per information in Council packets.) <br />Mr. Amendola said he has a question concerning that ordinance. There is no definition <br />of the term "yard waste" in the ordinance/contract. He said it should be identified. It <br />should say, "grass, branches, and other parts of trees." We are going to be responsible <br />for the leaves. Mr. Amendola said he discussed this with B.F.I. and they plan to request <br />that those things be put in paper bags. <br />Mrs. Cinco said Mr. Brett just pointed something out. Would you please have the Law <br />Department look at that contract. She said she is looking at page 3 of the original <br />contract--number 5-the Village's option must be exercised on or before November 1st, <br />1993. We need to deal with that tonight so it can be approved and B.F.I. can malce <br />arrangements to pick up our yard waste. In the meantime, the Legal Department can <br />look into the definition of "yard waste." <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to authorize an addendum being <br />added to the current contract with B.F.I. regarding pick-up of yard waste; addendum to <br />include a definitions of solid waste and yard waste per the Law Department. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />B.F.I. authorized to pick up yard waste per option in contract; addendum to be <br />prepared by Law Department and attached to contract. <br />Snow Plowing Applications <br />Mrs. Cinco asked if anyone had any additions, corrections, or comments (to the <br />information included in their packet.) We have those notarized signatures on file--so <br />people don't have to do it again if they are on file. <br />Mayor Rinker said the snow removal information will be included in the VOICE OF <br />THE VILLAGE which will go out tomorrow.
