Regular Council Meeting
10/18/93
Page Nineteen
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Resolution Adopted
(in title)
Mr. Fixler asked Mr. Amendola if we are currently doing any electrical work on the
Norris property.
Mr. Amendola said it was finished.
Mr. Fixler asked if it was an extensive project or a smaller project.
Mr. Amendola said the complete garage was illegally wired; it was done. They had to
put ground fault outlets in the garage and in the house (in the bathroom areas) to meet
the code.
Mr. Fixler asked the approximate cost.
Mr. Amendola said approximately $2,500 for the electrical and $250 to have railings in.
Mr. Fixler asked if there is (or was) a large amount of heating oil being stored on the
premises.
Mr. Amendola said we had the 250-gallon tank emptied and removed from the
basement.
Mrs. Leppla said she and Mr. Stephens met with Mr. Bader wfio is the landscape
architect for Progressive this morning. He answered a number of questions that
residenfs had fielded to them. They are putting some very large pine trees right at the
property line. They were supposed to be 10-12"; they are turning out to be 14-16'. Now,
we are trying to get the mounds a little higher.
Mayor Rinker asked if she thought there was anything Gil Kostelic (the Village
architect) needed to look at.
Mrs. Leppla said she did not think so. If we run into something they don't want to do
and if Gil wants to recommend it--that could be a future thing. There is no meeting set
up at the present time. She hopes to meet with him on a weekly basis because there are
a lot of changes being made daily.
