Regular Council Meeting
10/18/93
Page Twenty
1VIrs. Leppla said she has received some complaints about speeding cars on Raleigh.
They have requested a traffic count there and possible stop sign at that point.
i,t. Jay said there is no warrant for a stop sign at that location.
Discussion was held.
Mayor Rinker suggested they try radar there.
Ivirs. Leppla said a resident in the Metro Park/Zorn Lane area asked about upcoming
sewers for that area.
Mr. Hovancsek will gather information and get a better handle on what those other
costs are before the information is published.
Mrs. Leppla the resident also asked if the Village was subsidizing this.
Iviayor Rinker said there is no other area that has been mandated under the E.P.A. We
can estimate within the 10-year period, with this trunlc line being installed, that virtually
any neighborhood in the community that is currently on a septic system is going to go
over. When we have asked when, we get "stay tuned."
Mr. Hovancsek said normally the only subsidy that occurs, the municipality (by State
law) is required to pay 2% plus the cost of intersection.
Mr. Ferrante asked if he had any kind of ballpark (figure.)
Mr. Hovancsek said they indicated is was approximately $12,000 per house for the main
sewer (in the Worton Park area) plus the hook-up--which could be $3,000-4,000 or
$7,000-8,000 (depending on whether they have to loop around the house.
CLOSIlVG COMMENTS
There were no additional comments.
ADTOURNMENT
Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to adjourn.
