Regular Council Meeting <br />11/15/934 <br />Page Three <br />Activities Committee (continued) <br />held I3ecember 5. Donuts and hot chocolate will be served. We have asked groups <br />from schools to sing songs. Mayor Rinker said it will be an old-fashioned event and he <br />hopes everyone will come. <br />Architectural Review Board: Mr. Amendola said the committee met and approved a <br />residential addition. <br />Board of A1212eals: Mr. Amendola said there was no need to meet this month. <br />Ce Mr. Fixler said there was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Committee: Mrs. Cinco said the committee met October 26. They <br />are looking into the sign for the high school entrance and discussed the following <br />topics: pick up of yard waste, the Singer properiy anci some properties on Hanover; <br />they are quite interested in seeing campaign signs being regulated somewhat. They will <br />hold a holiday' meeting in December. They look to new members in January and <br />meeting will start in February. <br />Commission on AS ng: Mr. Busa said Mrs. Kalina submitted the following information: <br />Howard Schulz (Chairman of the Commission on Aging) recently passed away. Patsy <br />Mills will be filling his spot on the Commission. Plans are being finalized for the <br />Christmas Party on December 4. They are participating with the fifth graders from <br />Center School in the "Getting to Know You" program. Prior to their card group on <br />December 7, they will be visited by a student choral grpup from Millridge School. On <br />October 27, they had an afternoon program on Alaska presented by Norm and Nancy <br />Rozell. The Card and Craft Groups continue to meet as usual. <br />Safe and Service: Mr. Fixler said Chief Mohr did extensive research in coming up <br />with a new pager system. He would like to switch from USA to AT&T. This will <br />provide a savings of $2,160. The Safety Committee unanimously approves switching <br />companies. Chief Mohr has had conversations with Gates Mills regarding sharing cost <br />of a blazer vehicle for next year. They will discuss this item next year. <br />Finance Committee: Mr. Flynn said the committee met this evening and discussed the <br />following items: <br />1) Expenditure to J.T.O. - This will finish most of the outside contracting work. <br />2) Resolution 93-36 to Ameritech - They recommend Council move ahead.
