MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL
Mayfield Village
January 22, 1996
The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, January 22,
1996, at eight o'clock p.m. (8:00 p.m.) in the Council Chambers at Village Hall.
Council President Mark Fixler presided.
ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante,
Mr. Fixler, Mr. Marquardt and Dr. Parker
Absent: None
Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Brett, Chief Mohr,
Mr. Samac and Miss Heath
Council President Fixler said the first order of business is to consider Mayor Rinker's
appointments. Mr. Fixler said the list the Clerk of Council just distributed is the
same as the list Council received in their packets on Friday. He asked if there were
any questions on any of the names.
Mayor Rinker said Council should have received another copy of the proposal we
received from the Animal Warden in the Fall. There are some aspects of the job
description that we are looking to educate the residents on. Apart from that, the rate
is the same and everything else is pretty well set. He asked Council to read it
carefully. He said the biggest thing is dealing with traps. Mayor Rinker said the
Engineer has also provided his proposed rates. Mayor Rinker said typically, the
Finance Committee would deal with this. His suggestion is that as long as everyone
agrees in principle with these appointments, contingent upon any changes that
Finance might want to make, tonight's vote will confirm the appointments and all
we have to do is the swearing in on Monday. The rates and those things that the
Finance Committee will deal with (and the legislation) can be finalized at a later
date. We will ask Mr. Diemert, Mr. Feudo and Mr. Hovancsek to submit their rate
requests for the Finance Committee meeting'on Monday, January 29.
Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to confirm all of the Mayor's
appointments as stated in his memorandum to Council of January 16, 1996.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Appointments Confirmed
