Special Council Meeting
4/1/96
Page Three
Council President Fixler said he is disappointed it was not included in the original
specifications.
Dr. Parker questioned if it is easier to restain than repaint. His experience has been
that you would have to stain more often than you would have to paint.
Mr. Samac said staining will last longer. Stain does not peel. It may not be quite as
bright as a semigloss paint, but you would not notice the difference after a year
anyway. Also, stain is less likely to chalk onto the brick than paint. . Stain could cost
more and the application may be more costly.
Mr. Busa, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to authorize the additional
expenditure in the amount of $458 to Thomarios for painting of the new fire station.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
ANY OTHER MATTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL
There were no additional matters before Council.
CLOSING COMMENTS
There were no comments.
ADJOURNMENT
Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adjourn.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
The meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
COUNCIL RESIDENT, MARK FIXLER
CLERK OF CS NCIL, DONNA J.
