Regular Council Meeting. <br />4/15/96 <br />Page 16 <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 96-18. <br />Mr. Marquardt said as he brought up [during the Finance Committee report] the <br />committee believes the bid should go to the lowest priced bidder. The lowest bid was <br />10% of the value of the contract. <br />Chief Stevens said he has no objection to either vendor. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br /> <br />Council President Fixler said if everyone is in agreement with the Finance Committee, <br />Ordinance 96-18 should be defeated. <br />Roll Call: AYES: None <br />NAYS: All <br />Motion Not Carried <br />Ordinance Failed <br /> <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to amend the agenda to include <br />consideration of legislation for the portable radios (to the lowest bidder.) <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 96-19, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing <br />and directing the Mayor to enter into a contract with B&C Communications for the <br />purchase of twenty portable radio units for use by the Mayfield Village safety forces." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />
