11 <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />5/20/96 <br />Page 11 <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to award the landscaping <br />contract for the new fire station in a total amount not to exceed $35,000 to the <br />vendors in the amounts listed above. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditures Authorized <br />Ameritech Paging Services <br />Chief Mohr said we were able to reduce the cost of emergency pagers from $8.95 to <br />$6.25. They wanted a yearly contract running from June 1 to June 1, 1997. He <br />recommends the contract be from July-December instead of a full year. <br />Air Compressor for Service Detit. <br />Mr. Metzung said he recommends we purchase a used 1989 Air Compressor from <br />Phillips Day & Maddock for $4,800. This model would cost $11,500 new. <br />Mr. Ferrante asked how many hours are on it. <br />Mr. Metzung said 3,417. The machine was serviced every 100 hours. <br />Dr. Parker asked if there is a warranty. <br />Mr. Metzung said no. <br />Council President Fixler asked if Mr. Metzung was comfortable buying used <br />equipment. <br />Mr. Metzung said yes, this one. We will not use this piece- of equipment on a daily <br />basis. - <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to authorize an <br />expenditure of $4,800 to Phillips Day & Maddock for the purchase of a used 1989 air <br />compressor. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized
