Regular Council Meeting <br />8/5/96 <br />Page 4 <br />Historical Societv- Mr. Buckholtz said the Mayfield Township Historical Society wishes to tllank <br />everyone who attended the activities on July 6`h. It was covered_by TVS and the newspapers. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco reported on the meeting of August 1'`. Tom Adams was introduced as the <br />Business Manager. The Art Show will be held the whole month of October at the Mayfield <br />Regional Library. The new Art Director will be introduced at the next meeting. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Samac said they had no meeting. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Ferrante said the Workshop and Regular Meeting were held before this <br />meeting. Discussion was held on the proposed Centerior Energy tower. They sent a letter asking <br />for a continuance so that was put on table for another time. They had a lengthy discussion on the <br />parking loz improvement for Progressive Insurance. After discussion, they approved it to go to <br />Council for approval, contingent upon a few things like the drive being changed to geoblock and <br />with the egress being contingent upon cooperation between the Police Dept. and Progressive. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said the Softball Banquet wiU be held August 21. The Play <br />Camp is over and I?rama Camp is in its final week. They wiU evaluate both programs foliowing <br />completion of the Drama Camp. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said the committee has met and we wiU have the <br />results at the September meeting. <br />Council President Fixler asked Mr. Buckholtz to send him the results before the meeting in a <br />sealed envelope. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />There were no comments. <br />Council President Fixler said prior to going on to "New Business,"since we wiU not be burning <br />down the rest of those structures on Schulz's property, he will now look to Bernie Samac to go <br />back to Associa.ted Estates to make sure the structures are leveled. <br />Mr. Samac said he is supposed to get back to me in the next few days with the timetable. <br />Hopefully, they should be out of there within the next few weeks. <br />Chief Mohr said last Saturday, Mr. Martin from Associated Estates was on the drill site. Mr. <br />Martin stated they will hire -a contractor to remove the structures. Mr. Panzica has removed the <br />trailers, but there are still quite a few junk trailers on site. <br />OLD BiTSINES? . <br />There were no items under na busmess.
