Regular Council Meeting <br />October 21, 1996 <br />Page 12 <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br /> <br />Resolution No. 96-22 entitled; "A resolution expressing concern over the proposed changes in the <br />administration of the State's Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) and declaring an <br />emergency." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 96-22. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Resolution No. 96-23, entitled; YYA resolution of Appreciation to'Todd VanCampen." Introduced by <br />Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 96-23. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br /> <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state <br />their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"New Business" only. <br />Mr. Hoeni an said he spent some time talking with the Engineer. They agreed there really is not <br />enough room for the County to put the landscaping on their site. Mr. Hoenigman said if he does not <br />allow them to use his land, he will have something ugly to look at. They will put in shrubs and <br />trees-but he will have to maintain them. He asked what he might do to about getting the "County to <br />buy a portion of his property for an easement for landscaping. <br />M. Diemert said that is something the Village can't get involved in-that -is a private problem. <br />Discussing it with them is about as much leverage as the Village can do by law. <br />ANY OTHER MATTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL <br />Chief Stevens asked if Council would amend the agenda to consider approval to advertise for <br />bids for the purchase of three police vehicles.
