MINiJTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />January 11, 1999 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session on Monday, January 11, 1999, at 7:05 <br />p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Bill <br />Marquardt presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Busa, Mr. Fixler, Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker <br />Absent: Mr. Buckholtz and 1VIrs. Cinco <br />Also Present: Mr. Brett, Mr. Hovancsek (7:08 p.m.), Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, <br />and Mrs. Roman <br />Council President Marquardt said this special meeting was called to consider legislation <br />authorizing the widening and improvement of S.O.M. Center Road. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 99-01, entitled; "An ordinance authorizing the widening and <br />improvement of S.O.M. Center Road from Wilson Mills Road to White Road." Introduced by <br />Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 99-01. <br />NIr: Fixler asked how much it will cost. <br />Mr. Brett said this gives it a project identification number and is in conjunction with the grant we <br />received from O.D.O.T. -- it gives us a means of accepting the money. This would put us on line <br />to receive 9 million dollars in-grants, Issue II monies; we have funding in place to cover 80% of <br />entire amounts with grants and the entire project with SIB"loans. <br />Dr. Parker asked when we will have a solid figure for our cost. <br />Mr. Brett said not until the job is put out for bids. <br />Mr. Hovancsek arrived at this time (7:08 p.m.) <br />Mr. Marquardt questioned when it will take place.
