Regular Council 1Vleeting
1-25-99
Page 12
White Road to Highland Road, it is probably not that difficult a construct, but south of Highland
to Beta and Beta south to Wilson-Mills; those are two distinctly different sets of considerations.
Some of the issues will be how wide do we want it and what kind of impact will it ha:ve for long-
term zoning use. He addressed this at the beginning of the meeting because he thinks it is
important that we look at it because there are a lot of issues.
Dr. Parker said tha.t perhaps to address Mr. Busa's concern prior to a workshop--unless there is
some reason why it is necessary for Couneil to go over [to Village Hall] to see it--if it is a
question that it can't be duplicated, then they can go over there--but he is trying to address Mr.
Busa's concern of why wasn't-it placed in a packet.
Mayor Rinker said we will-find out what it will cost to reproduce a copy for every Council
member and he will make sure that Council receives them. He asked that they look them over
and make notations on them and be fhoughtful about it so that when they come to a workshop
they can be armed with questions. He is not simply talking about Council--he is talking about
having P&Z, CAC, ARB and people from any group in this community come to the workshop.
His caveat to everyone is that once you see it on paper that people typically react to that and act
as if this is the end of the line. This is not the case. This is the starting point.
Dr. Parker said if Council is expected to attend a workshop--sure they can go over and look at it-
-but they would be more prepared, and if it wouldn't be so much an expense for Council to ha.ve
a copy so they can look over it and have notes jotted down.
Mr. Busa said we should ha.ve a copy--something to reference.
Mr. Brett said we will get copies out.
Mr. Busa said no one told him. He kept asking the same question every meeting--why are there
cars and semis parked on S.O.M.? No one cares. It's Progressive--they can't commit a crime.
It's a shame.
Dr. Pazker tha.nked all the volunteers and participants and extended wishes for good luck for the
upcoming year.
Mr. Metzung said Council should have received a memo from Mr. Cappello about the roadway
that is failing on S.O.M. (on the east side of S.O.M. at Beta) from Vallejo Construction, Tom
has contacted them and they will come back to r.emove and replaee the affected areas.
ADJOURNMENT
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to adjourn.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion CarrW_

?
