We have figures on the Night Vision fxture. <br />Mr. Marquardt requested a simple table be prepared that outlines all options and costs. He asked <br />when the drop-dead date is (that Council must make a decision.) <br />Mr. Muhlbach said we are probably about a month away at the latest. <br />Executive Session <br />1VIr. Buckholtz, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to go into Executive Session. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Council went into Executive Session at 9:00 p.m. to discuss personnel matters. <br />Council reconvened at 9:33 p.m. <br />Mr. Marquardt said Mayor Rinker would like to make_an appointment. <br />Mayor Rinker said we ha.ve come to an agreement. Based upon our discussions, he asked <br />Council to approve the appointment ofBill Thomas to be the new Department Head of tlie Parks <br />and Recreation Department at an entry salary of $53,000 per annum with-benefits we provide for <br />full-time employees subject to the Administration and Council's exercising its due diligence in <br />the course of the next two weeks to satisfy ourselves tha.t this position is what we ,believe it is <br />and tha.t the understanding would be the starting date would effectively be March 31St of this year <br />and the other transitional details Council and the Administration will work out also during this <br />two-week period. <br />Mrs. Roman questioned if this will be an ordinance or resolution. <br />Mr. Diemert said it will be Iater on; it will just be a motion now. <br />Mayor Rinker said the Law Director will prepare the necessary legislation. <br />Council President Marquardt asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Brett recommended the legislation for the initial appointment rim tbroughthe en&af the year <br />and then be incorporated into the wage ordinance (coming due in 2000.?
