Regular Council Meeting 5-17-99 Page 18 A motion to authorize an egpenditure in the amount of $16,530 to Daktronics, Inc. for the purchase of a swim timing system for community swim meets Mr. Fixler, seconded by Mr. Buckholtz, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $16,530 to Daktronics, Inc. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized A motion to authorize an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $3,500 to Ballash Press fQr the Summer issue of the Voice of the Village Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $3,500 to Ballash Press. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized A motion to authorize the Mayor and President of Council to accept $500 compensation from liTEORSD for Mayfield Village to maintain the Beech Hill Pump Station Mrs. Cinco, seconded by 1V1r. Fixler, made a motion to authorize the Mayor and President of Council to accept $500 compensation from NEORSD for Mayfield Village to maintain the Beech Hill Pump Station. Dr. Parker asked what maintenance will be done--is it just grass cutting? Mr. Metzung said this is to help cover the cost of shrub replacement and maintenance. Mayor Rinker:said they will be.signing it over to us. This started about a year ago when we saw the plantings they were putting in. If we wait for N.E.O.R.S.D. to do the work, it doesn't work. We tried it for a year and he suggested the Service Department handle it. We can do far better. This a nominal way to reflect the fact-that tfie Village will take on the task of maintaining. (This is a one-time payment to us.) Roll Call: AYES: All IVAYS: None Motion Carried Authorization Given Resolution No. 99-07, entitled; "A Resolution of Appreciation to Mark Fixler."
