Regular Council Meeting <br />5-17-99 <br />Page 17 <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to table the motion to authorize the purchase <br />of concession equipment for Parkview Pool from Store Starters in the amount of $8,695.09. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Tabled <br />A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $18,298- to Whitmer Pools for <br />starting blocks <br />Mr. Fixler, seconded by Mrs. Cinco made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of <br />$18,298 to Whitmer Pools <br />Mr. Thomas asked Council to correct the amount since he only wants to purchase 11 blocks and- <br />this figure is for 12. <br />After a brief discussion, Council agreed the amount will be not to exceed $17,500. <br />Mr. Busa asked what a starting block is. <br />Mr. Thomas said swimmers start on the blocks to dive in. <br />Mayor Rinker said the blocks will be used for lessons and practices so we will need them right <br />away.. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $4,000 to_ Cuyahoga County to <br />replace the equivalent of sig expansion joints along Wilson Mills Road <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of <br />$4,000 to Cuyahoga County. <br />Council President Marquardt asked if there was any discussion. <br />The number of expansion joints was questioned. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said 6 is the correct number. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditltre Authorized
