Regular Council Meeting <br />6-21-99 <br />Page 2 <br />COlVIlVIENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker said it is his privilege to swear in Sergeant Dearden as Lieutenant. He said <br />Sergeant Dearden started with the Village in January, 1975; he was promoted to Sergeant in <br />1990. <br />Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to Patrick Dearden as Police Lieuteant/ <br />COMIIENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESTDENT MARQiJARDT <br />Council President Marquardt expressed thanks to everyone who worked on 50's Night. He said <br />the whole crew deserves congratulations. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Service - Mr. IVletzung reported on the pool progress. They will be working up to the end but it <br />should be done by July 3`a <br />Building - Mr. Samac said Progressive is loading up Building #1. Before Council this evening is <br />site approval for Building #3. <br />Parks & Recreation - Mr. Thomas said over 1,000 pool passes have been sold--over 700 just to <br />Mayfield Village residents alone; about 60 to Progressive employees. <br />STANDING CONIlVIITTEE REPOIZTS <br />Activities Committee Mayor Rinker said we had a wonderful'SOs Night. He also expressed <br />thanks to everyone who volunteered and the Service, Police and Fire departments. We had <br />wonderful feedback about this great event. <br />Mr. Thomas said we are working on a program for July 3`d outlining all the activities planned; it <br />will be mailed to all residents. <br />Mayor Ruilcer said we will try to do a debriefing about'SOs Night shortly and asked that <br />everyone let Donna Roman know their comments. <br />Architectural Review Board -1Vfr. Samac said there was no meeting. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said Dotothy Buzek and her helper worked at the Historical House and <br />the cemetery.
