He thinks
they should be taken down. If not, would we be allowed to put up a few of our signs
on a few of your poles; lie will personally commit to taking them down right after
the election.
Mayor Rinker said he will have the Law Director address that.
Laura Lynch, 934 Beech Hill Roadsaid she is also a member of the Mayfield School
Levy Committee. Their aim was not to anger anyone with the green ribbons. The
ribbons were put up to make people aware of the May 2nd vote. She along with her
neighbor put up all the ribbons on S.O.M. and those on Wilson Mills east of S.O.M.
Dr. Abbott hasn't directed anyone to put up the ribbons. It was the Levy Committee
that put the ribbons up.
Mr. Flynn said when you put ribbons on every pole, you may be disenfranchising
the person who lives at the residence behind that pole, in addition to being a
violation. Because of the sheer number of green ribbons people get the perception
that the whole Village may be pro levy.
Mr. Ferrante asked for a motion to amend the agenda to include the advertisement for
bids for the west end of the Community Room.
Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to amend the agenda to include the
advertisement for bids for the west end of the Community Room.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Agenda Amended
Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to advertise for bids for the west end
of the Community Room.
Mayor Rinker asked if as we bid it, should we separate concrete from the other 2
portions.
Mr. Samac and Council agreed.
