Regular Council Meeting <br />4/24/95 <br />Page Twenty-three <br />? <br />I <br />? <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 95-23. <br />A brief discussion was held regarding the amount of the waiver. The amount can be <br />whatever the 1Vlayor and Police Chief set it at (up to $500.) <br />Chief Stevens said he understands Council wants to increase the fines for hanclicapped <br />parking and fire lane parking violations. <br />Mayor Rinker asked for his input on the amount to increase the fines. <br />Chief Stevens suggested the rates be set at 425 for a£ire lane violation and $50 for a <br />handicapped parking violation. He explained $50 is the average. <br />Mr. Diemert read the amounts cuxrently in effect. He suggested the amounts not be <br />debated now. They can be determined later. Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried. <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to amend the agenda to include <br />discussion about the Bonnieview Building. <br />Bonnieview Building <br />Mayor Rinker said he and Council want to hang onto the building at the Bonrueview <br />site and asked what Council action eould be taken. <br />Mr. Diemert, said a motion would be considered a resolution. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to implore the Cuyahoga County <br />Commissioners not to destroy the comminuter building located on fl1e ten-acre holcling <br />tank parcel on Bonnieview Road. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Rinker will wri.te a letter to the County Commissioner-s asking them not to <br />destroy the building.
