He thought it
was appropriate for Mayfield Village to donate to the victims of the bombing. He
was not sure what an appropriate donation would be; he was suggesting a figure of
$1,500. He will disseminate this resolution and ask the other area communities to
match, in some fashion, this donation. We are trying to establish a significant way
to donate some dollars to the people that have suffered this tragedy.
Mayor Rinker said the comminuter building on Bonnieview--unless we take some
action, that is going to be razed sometime in June. He wants to make sure they don't
miss an opportunity to pass a resolution or what appropriate action we need to take
to make sure that building gets saved.
Council President Pro Tem Ferrante had no comments.
Mr. Diemert said the closing on the building on S.O.M. Center is scheduled as
planned. The deeds and monies have all been deposited in escrow. Everything is
moving along smoothly.
Chief Mohr said they had public education training over on Derby Drive when the
weather was still sour. One of our pumpers put a wheel on a treelawn. There is a
rut that we will fix as soon as the weather is nice enough that we can plant grass. He
wants it on record that they will take care of it.
Mr. Ferrante asked if the residents know.
