Special Council Meeting
6/29/95
Page 4
Mayor Rinker said we approved this drawing. If we are going to go back and
redesign the structure--unless there is some compelling reason to do so--he does not
want to. He disagrees with Mr. Fixler and believes the structure would look worse if
changed as Mr. Fixler suggested.
Mr. Busa said we hired a manager--we approved the drawing. Why change
anything now unless it is mandated or recommended by our manager?
After a lengthy discussion, Mr. Ferrante said all Council members present and
Mayor Rinker disagree with Mr. Fixler's suggestion, so why are we continuing
discussion?
Mr. Buckholtz asked about the fence.
Chief 1Vlohr said it is intended to be a security area and explained how the present
fence will be destroyed during construction. He said that at some time down the
road if Council so chooses--a fence would be installed.
Mr. Buckholtz wondered if thought would be given about having a gate that could
open (both ways--to and from the school property.)
First Reading of Ordinance No. 95-37 entitled; "An emergency ordinance
authorizing a contract for certain work on Phase II of the Fire Station construction
project." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
NYr. Panzica explained this is for the masonry work--bid package 4--Northern Valley
Contractors in the amount of $378,445.00.
Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Buckholtz, made a motion to suspend the rules
requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Rules Suspended

11
Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 95-37.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
