Regular Council Meeting <br />7/20/95 <br />Page 15 <br />Mr. Busa said he is not happy with a 30-year contract; it is too many years. <br />Council President Fixler explained that once the Village's equipment is on their <br />antenna, we want to be sure that antenna will remain there so we won't have to <br />worry about where our equipment will be housed. That is the only source of <br />communication our safety forces will have. It is a two-way, long-term agreement. <br />We are looking at the longevity of the Fire Station as a minimum of 30 years. <br />Therefore, we would need a minimum of a 30-year commitment to house our <br />electronics. He asked if Mayfield Village will take ownership of the tower. <br />The representative from Nextel said yes. He asked the representative to get in touch <br />with Mr. Diemert. <br />Fire Lt. Ken Shrefler said they had a question regarding emergency power. If power <br />is interrupted, are they planning to use the Village's generator. The representative said no. They were not planning for a long-term or permanent <br />generator. However, they will probably look to see where they could accommodate <br />a plug. <br />Lt. Shrefler said we will have a system in our building, if they would be willing to <br />help pay for the emergency system. <br />The representative said he does not have the power to give a"yes" on that. We can <br />look at. <br />The representative said he will get back to Mr. Fixler by the end of the week. <br />Confirmation of new Recreation members (motion) - Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. <br />Buckholtz, made a motion to confirm the appointment of Michele Buckholtz, Jean <br />Fernandez and Ralph Vitale. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Appointments Confirmed <br />A motion to approve a lot s:plit for Alfred DiMarco of 697 Echo Drive - Mrs. Cinco, <br />seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to approve a lot split for Alfred DiMarco of <br />697 Echo Drive.
