He asked
Mr. Sobel itemize the expressed concerns and legal questions he feels are still
unanswered. That way, we can ask the Law Director's input to try to clarify the
points.
Mr. Sobel asked by when he had to have this.
Mayor Rinker asked when the next P&Z Workshop will be.
Mr. Samac said he was under the impression until earlier this evening that we
were going to have a workshop just prior to the regular meeting which would have
been sometime around the 17th of August. According to Mr. Schulte this evening,
Mr. Samac thinks he was talking about having a Workshop around the 5th of
August.
Mayor Rinker said he has to be out of town that first week but definitely wants to be
on hand for this. He thinks P&Z's perception was that this had been pretty well
ironed out; that is why they are recommending it. She would like to make that note because she will probably not be in
town next month.
Tim Deacon, Deacon's Chrysler-Plymouth - requested to be added to the agenda
tonight. There was a misunderstanding at the Planning and Zoning Workshop.
Council President Fixler said he will amend the agenda at the appropriate time.
John Phillips, 6206 North Woodlane Drive - said it is appropriate tonight that he
bring to the attention of Council the subject of flooding in Worton Park as a result of
the three-day storms we had. His rain gauge shows we had 10" of rain over that
period. Mr. Phillips said this subject has been under discussion by the Council
before and as most of you probably know, Council spent $40,000 back in the late
1980's on a study by Burgess and Niple. Their recommendation shows an
expenditure of probably in excess of $200,000 at that time. The idea was to rebuild
