Night Coach has been
rescheduled for August 31, 1995. Harry Hershey will play this Thursday and Phil
Nelson will perform September 7. They are very popular; people should try to
attend.
COMMENTS FRQM CQUNCILPRESZDENT FIXLER' '
Council President Fixler said in reference to the North County Trunk, the
Commissioners appear to be slightly confused with the issue of the North County
Trunk Line. They were focusing primarily on the secondary and third
neighborhoods that might be affected down the line. He pointed out to them that
we are only talking about the North County Trunk. He understands that the real
estate agents and banks are hindering prospective buyers for homes that might be
affected at some point in time. What they are typically doing is indicating to
prospective purchasers that they could be in line for an $18,000 sewer assessment
along the line. The banks are looking at their income and suggesting that if they do
not qualify for that additional $18,000 they may not get the loan. Council President
Fixler said he thinks it is very important we act on this quickly to get the word out to
the area banks and realtors that this is not the case. There is no such project
formally on the books at this point other than the indirect assessment. In the
future, if someone decides to come along and dictate to Mayfield'Village that we
must go forward and put sewers in, he believes all of us are on the same page that
without that funding that would be critically important to the project, we will fight
tooth and nail to stop it. The North County is that main artery; we are talking about
the secondary arteries here. He believes there is no one in power currently--and

?
' I
?
