348
Mayor Rinker said he plans to have a meeting regarding Deacon's expansion and
will be sending notices to residents in that area.
Mayor Rinker said planting will be in order--not only in Worton Park. He asked
Council to let him know if there are some special needs where we can accomplish
planting trees.
CONiMENTS FRUM C,0tJNCIL. PRESIDENT M?CL,ER , i
Council President Fixler said he was involved with preliminary negotiations with
Nextel. He said Chief Mohr and the Legal Department finished this up. He thinks
they did an admirable job. Mr. Diemert ended up getting the Village substantially
more dollars in the contract.
Mayor Rinker said five times the original amount.
DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS `
Service - Mr. Amendola asked Council to give consideration to the requirement we
have for curbs at Wiley as well as the placement of 3 planter boxes.
Mayor Rinker said he asked Mr. Amendola to mention this tonight. We had
discussed this before--putting planters in. We need to get the work done--the
curbing itself must be done to finish the border. Because of the mounting of
expenditures, he asked Council whether or not they want to hold off on the
planters. He thinks it is a nice idea but is not wedded to it.
Council President Fixler suggested a poll of Council.
Mrs. Cinco said whatever Council's wish--she can see either way on it--but it might
be a good idea to wait and see.
Mr. Flynn said the Finance Committee felt we should hold off for a while.
Mr. Basile and Mr. Ferrante agreed.
Mr. Buckholtz asked if we can do it another time without tearing the place up.
