'.= ; <br />Mayor Rinker administered oaths of office to AI Scaccia, Activities Committee; Tom Repicky, <br />Ordinance Review; Laura Smith and Kay Phillips for Citizen's Advisory. <br />Mayor Rinker said once again (for the fourth year) the GFOA (Government Finance Officer's <br />Association) ha.s awarded Finance Director Fhilip Brett with the-Distinguished Budget Award. <br />Mr. Ron Brvoks, Chief Financial Officer for Summit County and current President of the GFDA, <br />presented Mr. Brett with the Distinguished Budget Award. He nutlined the process to receive <br />the budget award. <br />Council President Fixler ha.d na comments. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Engineering - North County Trunk Line Project-Update - Mr. Cappello said the Phase 2 bids <br />were opened on December 19, 1998. Vallejo was the low bidder in the $879,960 which was <br />under the estimated amouait. The Caunty Commissioners shauld approve it at their next meeting <br />(thiS month.) Construction should begin in March <br />Council President Fixler asked when the system wi11"be working. <br />Mr. Cappeilo said after the tests are complete, the-County can authorize t've-ins-nTaybe in 3uiy <br />or August. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Comunittee - NFayor Rinker said we had a last-minute change and had to change <br />catering companies. <br />Mrs. Roman said the information on the new company is on tonight's agenda for Council's <br />approval. Several additional invatations were sent. <br /> <br /> <br />Architectural IZeview Board - Mr. Sama.e said there was no meeting.
