Regular Couneil Meeiing <br />January 19,1998 <br />Page 3 <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said the last BOA meeting was both an organizational meeting <br />and an informal joint meeting with P&Z to discuss the north end development. <br />Cemeterv - Dr. Parker said fhe new flag is up and there will probably be a meeting in March. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mrs. Cinco said the Board has not met.since November. <br />Mrs. Roman said the meeting scheduled for January 26 was canceled. The next meeting will be <br />held Monday, February 9`h [at 8 p.m. in the Community Room.] <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa read the report from the Director of Human Services. <br />(Attached to the minutes.) <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met at 7 p.m. this evening. They discussed <br />replacing the oidest video camera. This item is on tonighf's agenda. This purchase is <br />recommended with the suggestion to research future purchases with competitive bidding. The <br />Committee also discussed handicapped parking fines. Lt. Liggett suggested keeping the fines in <br />line with the existing fire lane fines. This item will go to Ordinance Review. We will expect an <br />ordinance to correct this in February. They also discussed replacement of fire standpipes. Chief <br />Mohr will work with the Law Director to have this item for the February Council meeting. <br />Voice maiI was discussed. Mrs. Cinco reported on the two bids that were submitted and sent to <br />the Finance Committee. Chief Mohr can prepare specifications for the telephone system which <br />will go out for bid. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Brett said the Committee met this evening and discussed the <br />following: (1Vote: A Finance Committee agenda is attached to the minutes for reference.) <br />The Committee is holding recommendation on item #1 pending details; <br />The Committee has some questions on item #4 prior to making a recommendation; <br />The Committee does not recommend approval of item #10 at this time; <br />The Committee recommends approval of items 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said everyone should have received a memo about the <br />next meeting-January 24, 9:30 a.m. at Landerhaven. The guest speaker is David Jones of the <br />News Herald. If you will be attending, please R.S.V.P. to Larry Small at Beachwood City Hall. <br />Historical Socie'tv - Dr. Parker reported tha.t the fireplace for the basement of log cabin has been <br />installed. The log fagade is being put into place on the inside of the cabin. The potluck supper <br />was well attended. Sixteen people toured the house during the December open house. The next <br />open house will be held on Sunday, February 15, 1998 from 1 to 4 p.m. The next regular <br />meeting will be on February 1 lth <br />M.A.R.C.- Mrs. Cinco said she had no report and asked Mr. Buckholtz when the next meeting is <br />scheduled.
