Buckholtz, made a motion to authorize payrrtents to <br />KA, Inc. for miscellaneous invoices up to $1,000. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Marra Construction - Aufhorization of expenditure for additional seeding -$2,500 <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Dr. Parker, ma.de a motion to authorize additional seeding in the <br />amount of $2,500. <br />Mr. Marquardt said the question came up at the Finance meeting. Their question was <br />what their contractual obligation is. How was it specified in the engineering <br />documents. <br />Council President Fixler asked if the specs called for restoration of the area to the <br />condition before the work started. <br />Mayor Rinker said a# the time IVlarra finished the job in the fall of 1996, there was a bad <br />storm. He had asked Council whether or not we should hold the retainer on Marra's <br />contxact because he was concerned about the bad weather. In discussion, the Law <br />Director mentioned that we would not have to hold the retainex because we still had the <br />bond. He had a number of discussions with Marra. There were a variety of things they <br />felt they had a tough fime on and_had incurred additional expense, but agreed to come <br />back and provide the labor. Mayor Rinker said his approach was to get the work done
