Regular Council Meeting <br />2-16-98 <br />Page 3 <br />Mayor Rinker questioned our deadline [for removal of the underground storage tanks.] <br />Mr. Metzung said December 22. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt said the Committee met this evening and considered 9 <br />items. (see Finance Committee agenda for detailed description) <br />1) Camp Dresser & McKey -$9,700 - Committee recommends approval <br />2) Phase 3-$925 - There is some question as to a quote on that. The committee recommends <br />obtaining clarification prior to approval of this item <br />3) Hospitalization Coverage - The committee recommends this item be given first reading <br />4) Resolution 98-03 - The committee recommends approval. <br />5) Ordinance 98-11 - The committee recommends approval. <br />6) Annual Water Charges for Hydrants - The'committee recommends approval. <br />7) The committee discussed various land deals and recommends going forward on a couple of <br />the items-this will be discussed in Executive Session. <br />8) Resolution 98-05 - The committee recommends approval. <br />9) Squires, Sanders & Dempsey -$25,000 - The committee recommends approval. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said the last meeting was on January 24. The guest <br />speaker was David Jones of the News Herald. He cited the 1998 officers which includes Village <br />Councilmember Joanne Cinco as Vice President. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said they met last Wednesday. They had a good program on the <br />Shaker Society. Their next meeting will be held March 11. The Bennett VanCuren Historical <br />House is open every third Sunday, of the month. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said M.A.R.C. met February Sth. New programs are being discussed. As <br />soon as she receives the minutes, she will forward copies to Council. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt deferred to Mr. Samac. <br />Mr. Samac said the Committee met February l Oth. They discussed the adoption of a model <br />building code for 1, 2 and 3-family dwellings. They took no action on it and probably will not <br />for another month or two. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mrs. Mills said their last meeting was on February 2nd. The Recreation <br />Center concept for Wencliff Corporation was tabled for additional information. They discussed <br />the parking lot expansion site plan and lot consolidations at 6671 Beta Drive for Progressive and <br />recommend Council approval. They recommend Council approval of the concept as presented <br />for the lot split and consolidations for the golf course property. They recommend Council <br />approve the concept as presented for the North Chagrin Commons dedication plat roadway. <br />Regarding the addition to the existing D.O. Summers building, the commission recommends <br />approval contingent on the Village's Engineer's comments. They also recommend the North
