Regular Council Meeting <br />2-16-98 <br />Page 6 <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 98-04; entitled, "An emergency ordinance authorizing an <br />agreement with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield as and for employee health care and <br />hospitalization benefits." Introduced by Mayor Ruiker and Council as a Whole. <br />Ordinance No. 98-04 was given first reading. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 98-05; entitled, "An emergency ordinance approving certain lot <br />splits and consolidations relative to Village of Mayfield properties." Introduced by Mayor Rinker <br />and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Diemert explained this ordinance deals with the property formerly known as the Parkview Golf <br />Course and division of that property to accommodate land sales and transfers. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Busa, ma.de a motion to enact Ordinance No. 98-05. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 98-06; entitled, "An emergency ordinance approving certain lot <br />splits and consolidations relative to Transportation Recoveries, Inc. properties." Introduced by <br />Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Diemert said this involves the division and transfer of the property formerly known as the <br />Friedman property. Mrs. Martin indicated today that Planning & Zoning did not approve this. <br />Council should ask them to do so the legislation should be enacted subject to P&Z's approval. <br />Mayor Rinker said this was a surprise revelation from the Secretary. It was his understanding these <br />[ordinances] were tied in together and were to be treated [and considered] together. <br />Mr. Samac said P&Z did not take any action on that. It was an oversight. <br />Council President Fixler said the legislation will be amended to have the approval of P&Z. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Diemert requested this item be included on the agenda for P&Z's next meeting.
