MINUTES OF A IZEGLTLAR MEETING OF COUIVQL <br />Mayfield Village <br />April 20,1998 <br />The Council of 1Vlayfield Village met in regular sessiom oxt Monday, April 20,199$, at <br />8:00 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/eommunity Room. Council President <br />Pro Tem $ill Marquardt presideci. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, IVIrs. Cinco,lV3r: Marquardt, <br />Mrs. Mflls and Dr. Parker <br />Absent: Council President Fixter <br />Also Present: N1r. Brett, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Diemert, <br />N1r. Hovancsek (8:03 p.m.), Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, Mr. <br />Samac, Chief Stevens and Mrs. IYoman <br />Tite Pledge of Allegiance to #he Flag was given. <br />OPEN PORTTOIV <br />James Burrington, 6858 Bramblewood L,ane - spoke abou# the Issue 9 Bond Issue. It is <br />the result of nearly 3 years of work by the Science Coynmittee, staff fromfihe Mayfield <br />Systexn amd members of our coruntanify. The comnuttee was for-med to enhance the <br />science eurric°ulum to meet the needs that will be impQSed by our new science <br />curxiculum profiaency tests. Mr. Burx-ington - describel the work of the conunittee and <br />the proposal which caUs for construction of a new wing at the I-figh School anel <br />xenovation of the Middle Sehoal facility. A very smatl portion of the monies wi1L go <br />toward increasing the bartd room. He encouraged everyone to attend the Pancake <br />Breakfast at the Fiigh School. Mr: Butrrington askect if there were any questions. He left <br />brochures and information wrifh the Clerk of Council and encouraged everyone to <br />supporE the issue. <br />Mr. Marquardt said he knows the committee has worked very hard.
