Regular Council Meeting <br />5-18-98 <br />Page 3 <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said he was unable to attend the meeting and asked <br />Mr. Marquardt to report. <br />Mr. Marquardt said they met Apri125. There was a presentation by the Judges from Lyndhurst, <br />Shaker and South Euclid. They informed us of some changes in the structure of criminal laws <br />that will essentially throw more cost to the suburban communities regarding our ability to jail <br />prisoners. Mr. Marquardt said he thinks we must look at the ramifications and should consider <br />taking a stand. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills provided an update on the renovation of the historical house. The <br />DAR luncheon last week was very successful. , <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they did not meet in May. The next meeting will be June 4t'. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said there was no meeting. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said there was no regular meeting this month. There will <br />be a workshop meeting on 1VIay 21 St <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said there will be a teen dance this Saturday sponsored by the <br />9th graders (and Recreation.) <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz gave no report. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />There were no items under old business. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />There were no comments. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Council President Fixler asked for a motion to amend the agenda for an Executive Session. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to amend the agenda for an Executive <br />Session. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended
