Regular Council Meeting <br />5-18-98 <br />Page 2 <br />Minutes Approved <br />COlVIIYTENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker was not present at this time. <br />COMIVF-NTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT FIXLER <br />Council President Fixler had no comments. <br />STANDING COMMTTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Roman reported that over 800 people were served at the Mother's <br />Day Pancake Breakfast. 'SOs Night is the next event and volunteers are needed. Contact Donna <br />if you can help out. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac reported the last meeting was held on the 14th <br />Additions, a dormer and a pool were approved. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting. <br />Cemeterv - Dr. Parker said there was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisor.y Board - Mrs. Cinco said they met with the Recreation Steering Committee <br />last month to hear a presentation on the pool. She asked Mrs. Roman if another meeting has <br />been scheduled. <br />Mrs. Roman said she has not been informed if there was a meeting scheduled. <br />Commission on Aging - Dr. Parker read Mrs. Kalina's report for Mr. Busa. A copy is attached to <br />the minutes. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met May 4. They approved state bidding <br />for replacing the 1989 truck for the Service Department. There was discussion regarding the <br />road program. Everyone was asked to let read the article (attached to the S&S minutes) <br />regarding a new material and to drive down selected streets to see it. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported on the meeting held earlier this evening. (Please <br />refer to the agenda attached to these minutes.) <br />Further discussion is needed on items 1& 2. <br />The Committee recommends approval of items 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10. <br />Mike Burgess is here this evening to answer any questions we may have re #8. <br />Regarding #10, there is no difference in the vendor--only a different name.
