Regular Council Meeting <br />6-15-98 <br />Page 10 <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 98-27. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker. <br />ABSTAIN: Mr. Fixler <br />NAYS: None <br />OPEN PORTION <br />No one wished to address Council. <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />Chief Mohr advised the Village received approximately $ 3,000 from Mayfran for recovered costs with regards <br />to a hazmat spill. <br />Engineer Hovancsek advised that the North County Trunk Sewer is progressing quite well. The sewer <br />connections will be completed on schedule and then the bike path will have to be put back in. <br />Mrs. Mills asked if anything was being done to the bridge on the culvert on Wilson Mills by Beechers Brook? <br />Mr. Hovancsek said he has not received any comments from the County yet. He further stated that we need to <br />clean out debris from culvert and Mr. Metzung stated it was just done in the past year. <br />Dr. Parker advised that there is a lot of odor from a manhole on Beech Hill, which is not a part of NEORSD. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said we could possibly put plastic plugs over there to keep the odor in. Mayor Rinker said it is a <br />hub there and Mr. Hovancsek said the odors are coming from the Pump Station and he will try to get the County <br />Sanitary Engineers to recommend a solution to cut down on the odor. <br />Mr. Busa said that Progressive is not keeping up with their end of the bargain, keeping the dirt piles down and <br />there is dirt and mud on SOM. Mr. Metzung said Mr. Samac has mentioned it to Progressive and they have <br />complied and will get Mr. Samac to mention it again. Mr. Fixler said they are beginning to erect steel and the <br />dust should be cut down shortly. Mr. Metzung will try to get them to clean the street on SOM more. <br />Mayor Rinker said that the Cleveland Magazine's rating of the suburbs showed the value of our homes going <br />down, that the median cost of a house is $ 105,000 and we are not in the top 10. He will not let this go <br />unnoticed and will respond to Cleveland Magazine. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
