Regular Council Meeting <br />6-15-98 <br />Page 2 <br />Regular Council Meetin~y 18, 1998 - Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to approve the <br />minutes. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker would like to respond to a couple of the comments tonight. He said it was nice to see people here <br />in support of the sidewalk. He said Dr. Parker went around, knocking on doors, getting the residents feed back <br />on the sidewalk/bicycle path issue. Mayor Rinker would urge Council to look at this further due to the safety <br />issue. <br />Mayor Rinker also stated that as far as Mr. Hoeningman is concerned, we are trying to work with the Regional <br />Sewer District trying to get them to respond. He also advised that a number of the dead trees were already <br />replaced about two weeks ago. <br />Mayor Rinker wanted to commend the Recreation Steering Committee on the work they have done with the <br />pool issue. He said Mr. Buckholtz and Mr. Marquardt have kept on top of this issue. He hopes Council will <br />look at this favorably. <br />Mayor Rinker said there was a nice 50's Cruise Night. He commended all Village personnel, both volunteers <br />and employees alike for their efficiency. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT FIXLER <br />Council President Fixler had no comments. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Metzung said that the fencing at the Wiley Ball Parks will begin on Wednesday. He also said Blueberry <br />Circle construction will start tomorrow. <br />Mr. Brett said that discussion was held at the Finance Committee and would request an item be added to the <br />agenda. <br />Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Diemert, Chief Mohr and Lt. Liggett had no reports. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee -Mayor Rinker said that 50's night was well attended. They have the upcoming 4th of <br />July Celebration. Mrs. Mills added as a reminder of the concert, 4 Lads, to be held July 2°a from 7PM to 9PM. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac was not present and Mr. Metzung had no report. <br />
