Regular Council Meeting <br />6-15-98 <br />Page 3 <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac was not present and Mr. Metzung had no report. <br />Cemetery - Dr. Parker discussed the annual fees for insurance; looking to whether they need a bond. Flags <br />were put out Memorial Day and will be replaced on the 4"' of July. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board -Mrs. Cinco said they were meeting in conjunction with the Recreation Steering <br />Committee. <br />Commission on Ag_m__ - Mr. Busa read Mrs. Kalina's report. A copy is attached to the Minutes. <br />Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco reported they met on 6/1/98. She advised that the Fire Department's car 655 <br />has been replaced by police car 4610. She encourages all of Council to take a look at the Fire Department's <br />pick-up truck. Said it would cost $1,500.00 to refurbish it but it is not in too good of shape and might consider <br />replacing the vehicle with a new one this year under the State Bid because it would cost less this year than next. <br />Recommended review by Law Director Diemert of Ordinance 749 on Hazardous Material Spills, recovering the <br />cost for those. Service Department tower lighting needs to be in compliance and the Fire Department tower <br />lighting is already in compliance. <br />The Traffic Signal Pre-emption is going out for bids this summer. <br />Pagers will be added to the Agenda under Finance. <br />There was a discussion on Voice Mail. Mrs. Cinco said she understands even with the additional costs, it will <br />still not handle what the Village needs and said there will be further discussion on this. <br />There was discussion on the bike path, which is on the Agenda for tonight. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported on the meeting held earlier this evening. (Please refer to the <br />agenda attached to these minutes.) <br />The Committee recommends approval of items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10. <br />Mr. Marquardt advised that Item 9 will be going to Council on 7/6/98. <br />Mr. Marquardt recommended approval of item 11, in the amount of $44,941.00 and stated they added Item 12 <br />which is pagers and requested Council put that on the Agenda and recommended approval for Item 12. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker had no report. <br />Historical Society -Mrs. Mills read the report. A copy is attached to the Minutes. <br />M.A.R.C. -Mrs. Cinco advised they met on 6/4/98 and will forward a copy of the minutes when she receives <br />same. <br />
