Regular Council Meeting <br />7-6-98 <br />Page 2 <br />Service - Mr. Metzung said the fencing at Wiley Park and the outfall behind Blueberry Circle are <br />complete. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee -Council President Fixler thinks all of us enjoyed the Fourth of July <br />festivities over the weekend. It was a wonderful display in view of the tragedy the night before. <br />Our hearts go out to the people of Independence. <br />Mrs. Roman said there will be a meeting this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. to recap 'SOs Night and the <br />4`h of July. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the Board met June 25. An addition to a residence <br />was approved. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting. <br />Cemetery - Dr. Parker said flags were placed at the cemetery for the 4th of July. <br />Citizen's Advisory -Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa said a copy of the report is attached to the minutes. <br />Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco said the Safety & Service Committee met this evening. There <br />were duplicate items on the Finance and Safety & Service agendas which are in the minutes for <br />the Council Caucus. They discussed LCL Land Clearing, the Bike Path, Ryan Environmental <br />and Traffic Signals. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt said the items were discussed in Caucus. <br />Hillcrest Council ofCouncils - Dr. Parker said there was no report. <br />Historical Society -Mrs. Mills reported on the progress of the Historic House: Anew load of <br />logs for the Log Cabin at the Historic House has been brought in. Work will proceed for the <br />completion of the Log Cabin. The emergency lights have been installed. One of the three smoke <br />alarms has been installed. The painting of the second floor is still in progress. The new carpet <br />for the second floor will be laid in about three weeks. We had another unexpected wedding at <br />the house because of the rain. <br />M.A.R.C. -Mrs. Cinco said they did not meet in July; they will meet in August. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said there was no meeting. <br />
