Council as BOA <br />9-14-98 <br />Page 2 <br />Council President Fixler asked what material the shed was set on for a base. <br />Mr. Sandler said concrete. <br />Council President Fixler asked if it could be re-dug. <br />Mr. Sandler and Mr. Samac said it would be difficult. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked if there is another solution for moving it 2'. She asked how it is set into the <br />concrete. <br />Mr. Samac said it is bolted, anchored, to the concrete pad. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked if 2' could be added and it could be rebolted. <br />Mr. Sandler said it would be very diff cult. <br />Mayor Rinker asked the sequence--was a permit supposed to have been requested... If he had <br />asked for a permit, Mr. Samac would have suggested for him to situate it differently--how? <br />Mr. Samac said a permit should have been requested. He would have required the shed to be <br />placed at least 2' south to maintain 10' to the side and rear property lines. <br />Mayor Rinker asked if he had gotten permission from his neighbor to the north and asked the <br />primary complaint. <br />Mr. Samac said the primary complaint is the proximity of it to Meadowood Drive--the street. <br />Mayor Rinker said that is not the issue the variance addresses. <br />Mr. Samac said correct. <br />Mayor Rinker said that would not have any different impact on the place that people are <br />complaining about most. <br />Council President Fixler asked if Council has any questions. <br />Mr. Busa said he has no questions and suggests Council approve it. We don't want to make him <br />tear it down for 2' and since the neighbors don't care--what's the big fuss? <br />Mrs. Mills said when he put the landscaping in she thinks he mounded it too high--he may lose <br />the trees because they will not be able to root and retain enough water. If he would have <br />contoured the trees to come into his lot toward his house, it would have looked a little better and <br />
