Regular Council Meeting <br />9/28/98 <br />Page 2 <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker was not present. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT FIXL,ER <br />Council President Fixler had no comments. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Metzung said the road resurfacing has been completed. It went off without a hitch. We <br />have seen Vallejo working on the bike path. <br />Mr. Hanculak reported the ex-patrol officer in the two situations we were involved in has filed an <br />appeal in both systems. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee -Mrs. Roman reported the committee took a short break for summer after <br />the events. They will be decorating the gazebo for fall. Their next meeting will be held in <br />October. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said they met September 24. An addition to a <br />residential dwelling was the only agenda item. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said they met September 15. A rear yard variance for a shed was <br />denied. The applicant has appealed to Council. It is on tonight's agenda. <br />Cemetery - Dr. Parker had no report. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board -Mrs. Cinco had no report. <br />Commission on A~ - Mr. Busa submitted the report from Mrs. Kalina for the record. <br />Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco said they met September 14. They had a recommendation from <br />the Fire Department for a new pick up truck. They are going to go out for State bids on that. <br />Also, bids will go out for a new traffic signal. We had reports on the sidewalk by the Fire <br />Department along with the communications tower writing. The Police Department talked about <br />the signalization and we approved $1,000 for chopping the wood waste pile at Service. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt said the committee met this evening. (See agenda <br />attached.) He gave the description of the items considered. The Committee recommends items <br />
