MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />October 26, 1998 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session on Monday, October 26, 1998, at <br />7:00 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Pro Tem <br />Bill Marquardt presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker <br />Absent: Mr. Buckholtz and Council President Fixler <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Metzung, Chief <br />Mohr, Chief Stevens and Mrs. Roman <br />Mr. Marquardt asked for a motion to amend the,agenda to include an ordinance to consider an <br />expenditure for Night Vision and a motion to consider road salt. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to amend the agenda to include the above- <br />mentioned items. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />Sidewalk-Wilson Mills (Hanover Woods to S.O.M.) <br />Mr. Hovancsek cited the bid results. He recommends Council award the contract to the low <br />bidder, Cook Paving. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to award the Wilson Mills Road sidewalk <br />project contract to Cook Paving in the amount of $58,837.00. <br />Mrs. Mills asked for details. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said they will do the whole package--from S.O.M. Center Road to Hanover <br />Woods--asphalt. <br />Mrs. Mills expressed concern about the area being torn up for a long time as the S.O.M. project <br />has been--[especially if the asphalt plants would close before this project would be completed.] <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the asphalt plants are open until December 1St. He had contacted about six <br />contractors asking them to bid on this project; four submitted bids. <br />
