Special Council Meeting <br />11-9-98 <br />Page 4 <br />Mr. Busa said the pool is a great project per se, but why are we setting a new precedent in <br />building roads for another entity. <br />Mayor Rinker said that is for the interest for the pool. <br />Mr. Busa said for the record, he is opposed to the pool. We can't afford it or tolerate the <br />insurance or vandalism. It is a mistake; it is a white elephant. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 98-40, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing and <br />directing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Caputo-Martini for general trades for the <br />Village pool project." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be reed on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 98-40. <br />Council President Fixler said we need to talk about the extras. <br />Council President Fixler believes we should pass on the lighting; he is not in favor of it. <br />Mr. Marquardt said if we don't put it in now, he does not think we will. <br />Council President Fixler said Mr. Buckholtz had questioned that and if we need lighting for <br />special events we can bring it in. <br />Mayor Rinker stated the ordinance will be enacted with the provision that the recommendations <br />as set forth in the letter of November 3`d, 1998, from Brandstetter Carroll Zofcin be accepted <br />subject to any modifications Council makes tonight.
