Regular Council Meeting 11/16/98 Page 2 COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT~FIXLER Council President Fixler said he will reserve his comments for later in hopes that Dr. Parker will arrive. DEPARTMENT-HEAD RET'ORTS'` Mr. Cappello gave an update on the Wilson Mills bike path: the contractor plans to mobilize at the end of this week along Wilson Mills. STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS Activities Committee -Mrs. Roman invited everyone to the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, December 6~' at 7 p.m. at the Gazebo. The Committee will meet in December to discuss the Appreciation Dinner scheduled for February 13~'. lJ Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac reported on the meeting of November 12. The Board approved one addition, an ATM drive-up machine for Charter One Bank and the fascade ??7 of Building two for Progressive along with a sign for the western elevation of the building facing I- 271 (Building One) and some screening for the chiller plant on Building Two. Mayor Rinker asked Council to get the word out to constituents that Building One of Progressive has metal panels. Special paint was applied to it incorrectly. They will be removing every panel and returning it to the manufacturer to redo. For about a month it will look like a big gold bug. Mr. Samac said it will not delay anything as far as the building goes, but it will be very noticeable. Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there has been no meeting since the last report. They will meet tomorrow evening. Cemetery -Mrs. Mills said the 9~' graders had a work day there. Citizen's Advisory Board -Mrs. Cinco said they met October 26. At that time Mayor Rinker presented the whole recreational plan and where we were in our progress in this development. They will meet next Monday and want to form a mission statement to focus on the identity and direction of the Committee. Commission on Aging -Mrs. Cinco read the report from Mrs. Kalina for Mr. Busa.
