Regular Council Meeting <br />11/16/98 <br />Page 2 <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT~FIXLER <br />Council President Fixler said he will reserve his comments for later in hopes that Dr. Parker will <br />arrive. <br />DEPARTMENT-HEAD RET'ORTS'` <br />Mr. Cappello gave an update on the Wilson Mills bike path: the contractor plans to mobilize at <br />the end of this week along Wilson Mills. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee -Mrs. Roman invited everyone to the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on <br />Sunday, December 6~' at 7 p.m. at the Gazebo. The Committee will meet in December to discuss <br />the Appreciation Dinner scheduled for February 13~'. <br />lJ <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac reported on the meeting of November 12. The Board <br />approved one addition, an ATM drive-up machine for Charter One Bank and the fascade ??7 of <br />Building two for Progressive along with a sign for the western elevation of the building facing I- <br />271 (Building One) and some screening for the chiller plant on Building Two. <br />Mayor Rinker asked Council to get the word out to constituents that Building One of Progressive <br />has metal panels. Special paint was applied to it incorrectly. They will be removing every panel <br />and returning it to the manufacturer to redo. For about a month it will look like a big gold bug. <br />Mr. Samac said it will not delay anything as far as the building goes, but it will be very <br />noticeable. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there has been no meeting since the last report. They will <br />meet tomorrow evening. <br />Cemetery -Mrs. Mills said the 9~' graders had a work day there. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board -Mrs. Cinco said they met October 26. At that time Mayor Rinker <br />presented the whole recreational plan and where we were in our progress in this development. <br />They will meet next Monday and want to form a mission statement to focus on the identity and <br />direction of the Committee. <br />Commission on Aging -Mrs. Cinco read the report from Mrs. Kalina for Mr. Busa.
