Council as BOA <br />12-21-98 <br />Page 4 <br />Roll Call: AYES: Mr.~ Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mr. Fixler, Dr. Parker <br />NAYS: Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills <br />Mr. Samac said he believes a 2/3 majority is necessary to override the decision of the Board of <br />Appeals. <br />Mr. Diemert and Council President Fixler concurred. <br />Motion Failed <br />Mr. Buckholtz asked if anyone would be inclined to approve the request if it were for a lesser <br />period of time. <br />Mr. Buckholtz, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to resubmit the request for another vote. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mr. Fixler, Dr. Parker <br />,`, .NA.YS Mrs. Cinco, Mr.~Marquardt, Mrs: Mills .., . <br />Motion Failed ~ . <br />Council President Fixler said there is nothing else we can do. They will have to come down. <br />Mr. Chamoun said thanks for your efforts. <br />Consideration of Variance Request for Mr. Carney, 6759 Hickory Hill Drive <br />Mr. Carney said Mr. Samac has the paperwork and pictures he submitted to put a shed in his yard <br />at 6759 Hickory Hill Drive. He is landlocked; he does not back up to the Parka He is willing to,, <br />move it over a certain amount as one of the neighbors requested. He can put it up regardless by <br />putting it 5-6 feet to the south of where he initially had it drawn. Mr. Samac gave the pictures to <br />Council. Mr. Carriey said Mr. Samac had suggested he move it into the section formed by <br />railroad ties so it would be less obtrusive. He described the revised proposal` as Council looked <br />at the photographs. . <br />Mr. Samac said Mr. Carney's variance request was initially denied. The request was modified to <br />allow it to be within 8' of Mr. Carney's and within 2' of his north property line. He said the first <br />proposal is shown in the photograph with the large tree. The revised proposal is to place it in the <br />landscaped railroad tie area. <br />tj~ <br />Council President Fixler asked if he had any letters or objections from his neighbors. <br />~i:L ., i•" ,. <br />Mr. Carney said he had received an objection from Mrs. Kalina. <br />~r <br />~~', .. <br />Since Mrs. Kalina was p'r"esent, Council President Fixler asked Mrs. Kalina to' state her objection <br />for the record. <br />
